Allysa Gooden shared this Scripture with me this morning, and it is what we stand on today: Lamentations 3:55-57 says, "But I called on your name, Lord, from deep within the pit. You heard me when I cried, 'Listen to my pleading! Hear my cry for help!' Yes, you came when I called; you told me, 'Do not fear.''
Luke is not doing well again today. His feet and hands are not receiving proper blood flow and the doctors say that those tissues may be dying. They say there comes a point where they do things 'to' Luke instead of 'for' Luke. They do not believe we are totally at that point, but it may not be long.
We still stand firm on our faith and believe that nothing is impossible with God.
-- Benson
Have been praying for you all this last week. Listening to Selah yesterday and these lyrics continued to remind me to pray for you...
ReplyDelete...There is power, power, wonder-working power
In the blood of the Lamb
There is power, power, wonder-working power
In the precious blood of the Lamb
Lord, how we need Your power
Every day and every hour
Lord, how we need
Your power Every day and every hour
Lord how we need Your
Power, power, wonder-working power
In the blood of the Lamb
Power, power, wonder-working power
In the precious blood of the Lamb...
Praying for baby Luke to pull through this latest hurdle and for his mommy and daddy to continue to have strength and peace as they walk through this time.
A friend in C-ville...
Praying for you and your SWEET LUKE!! He is a special little boy. As a mom of 2 boys I KNOW just how special they are!! Cling to that scripture today.. God hears the cries of HIS people!
ReplyDeleteMy Lord, my God, I cry out to you. I pray. And then I hope that I said the right prayer. I worry. And then I ask forgiveness for not relying on you. I always hold my babies close, but today I hold them closer. I have Baby Luke on my mind, in my heart, and in my prayers. I plead to you to shock those doctors, cause an uproar in that hospital, perform the miracle that only you can perform. Kristin, Benson, and their whole family are waiting on you Lord...
ReplyDeleteWhile I'm Waiting, By: John Waller
I'm waiting
I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am hopeful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it is painful
But patiently, I will wait
I will move ahead, bold and confident
Takeing every step in obedience
While I'm waiting
I will serve You
While I'm waiting
I will worship
While I'm waiting
I will not faint
I'll be running the race
Even while I wait
I'm waiting
I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am peaceful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it's not easy
But faithfully, I will wait
Yes, I will wait
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve you while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting on You, Lord
It is in Jesus' Perfect Name that I pray. Amen
What God has Promised
ReplyDeleteGod has not promised
skies always blue,
Flower strewn pathways
all our lives through.
God has not promised
sun without rain,
Joy without sorrow
or peace without pain.
But God has promised
strength for the day,
Rest for the laborer
and light on the way.
He promised grace for the trial
and help from above,
Unfailing sympathy
undying love.
~ This poem has given me peace through my own trials, and I pray that it will do the same for you. Your faith is such an inspiration, even in these dark moments. God will be with you no matter what the outcome. I am praying without ceasing.

ReplyDeleteIt is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning; GREAT is thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.(Lam. 3:22-26) Praying and fasting today for you and your little guy!
ReplyDeletePRAYING FOR YOU AND LUKE!! God can work miracles and he will do them in his time. I have faith the Lord will touch Baby Luke today and move through him restoring blood to his limbs!!

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Blessed [be] God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
I am a NICU nurse and understand your agony at watching your little guy go through this. I pray for your baby and your family. God will be with you and give your strength. Miracles can happen, and when they don't God is still there. I am praying for all of those caring for Luke as well.

ReplyDeletePraying for you both but most of all praying for good blood flow through out Luke's little body....from the tips of his little fingers and down to his little toes. I pray that the miracle of his improved blood flow is evident to your eyes, the eyes of the nurses and doctors. That this supernatural miracle be seen by all. That all will be amazed but know that it is only through our Heavenly Father.

I am a friend of a friend and Baby Luke is in my prayers! I have faith that there will be blood flow everywhere! I opened up my devotion this morning and read this: When Life Throws you a curve , run to God. His spirit is willing, and your MIRACLE may be just around the corner!
ReplyDeleteThen He took the five loaves and two fish and looking up to Heaven, He blessed and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the multitude. Luke 9:16
Know that I am praying for your Miracle and for you!
I have been continually praying for the three of you. I can only imagine what you are going through. When our son Brandon was born he spent 10 days in Kosairs. It was such a scary time. Now when you look at him you would never know he had such a rough start. I pray that it will be that way for Luke too. The doctors and nurses there are wonderful. You are in good hands. We attend French Valley United Methodist Church. My husband has always gone there and still refers to your dad as his favorite pastor. May God hold you tight and continue to bless you. Love and prayers, Amy Leach

I too am the parent of a Hypoplastic kid, God works miricles everyday and I pray that we see His hand with you and Luke. With God all things are possible. All of you are in my prayers.
ReplyDeletePsalms 4:1 Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer. 4:3 But know that the Lord hath set apart him that is godly for himself; the Lord will hear when I call unto him. Keeping your family in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteHeavenly Father, watch with us over your child and grant that he may be restored to that perfect health which it is yours alone to give; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
ReplyDeletePlease know that my family and I are sending up many many prayers for all of you. I am good friends the Julians from TN and Jennifer let me know about your situation. In 2008, my husband and I went through a very similiar situation. Unfortunately, our little guy went to live with Jesus 7 days after his birth. Since then I have been on an amazing spiritual journey. Your faithfulness to Him will be rewarded no matter the outcome. One thing that helped me was,"Peace be still and know that I am God." Sometimes when we were at our most chaotic times we must just be still and feel His love, comfort, and assurance. I am praying for the best for your little guy and for the both of you. As a parent who has been there, I pray for your courage, your comfort, and that you may feel his abounding love.
ReplyDeletePrayers going up, baby Luke has touched so many in a great way god has a plan for this little angle & he is a true fighter. God bless this little bundle an comfort his loving parent's.
ReplyDeleteThe Columbia Church of Christ had a special prayer before service for Baby Luke. We will continue to pray. Keep the faith!!
ReplyDeleteFather, I'm praying for Benson, Kristin and Luke and others in my circle of family and friends who need Christ...
ReplyDeleteYou are the God who gives life to the spiritually dead. (Romans 4:17b)
I thank You that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. But Scripture asks, How can these I'm praying for call on Jesus if they have not believed in Him? And how can they believe in Him if they've not heard about Him? And how can they hear without someone bringing the truth to them? And how can they hear unless that person is sent? (Romans 10:13–15a)
I ask You to send someone into each of their lives, someone with the message of life, the Word of Christ—for Your Word does not return empty; it accomplishes what You desire and achieves the purpose for which it is sent. (Romans 10:17; Isaiah 55:11)
May they hear the words of Christ, for His words are spirit and they are life. May the words that they hear not be stolen from their hearts. ( John 6:63; Luke 8:12)
Send someone they can respect to bring them the truth. In Jesus' name, amen.
Thank you for spreading Your word through Luke and showing us a miracle in him.
There are prayers going up throughout northern Georgia right for the healing of sweet little Luke. I stand in awe at the healing God has worked in the lives of countless others (as well as myself) as a result of ya'lls faith and compassion and Luke's remarkable story. God is so good in that he takes that which is difficult and terrible in our lives and is able to turn it into the furtherance of his kingdom. Luke in his young life has in his own way been a minister and proof of God to 1000s. I pray that he continues to improve leaps and bounds and that he makes a FULL recovery ALL to the glory of God! Your family has been a blessing to so many. You have made me stronger in my faith and my determination. Thank you for setting such an incredible example of complete trust in God. I will continue to pray daily and will spread your story as much as possible each day so that prayers will be multiplied even further for Luke's healing. I love you guys.
ReplyDeleteI seen your link through a family member about baby Luke. I am a mom & grandmother that has lost a son & grandson a little to early because GOD needed another angel with him. My little angels are in Heaven with GOD walking the streets of gold now. I still cannot understand what you as Luke's parents are going through. I do know that my heart is breaking for you & right now I am praying. Your faith & complete trust in GOD has made me realize how much I need to strengthen my relationship with GOD! WOW! What an example and testimony you have set for me.
ReplyDeleteDear Lord, I now you are our strength, comfort & our ever guiding light. Praying for strength for Mom and Dad and Healing for Baby Luke.God hears the cries of his Children.
ReplyDeleteThere is no way for anyone to know how to deal with the situation that you are in unless they have experienced something like this themselves. I lost one of my little boys due to a birth defect as well, and although my situation is a bit different than yours, it is still very difficult. It has been 3 years now, and I know in my heart that God had a much better plan for him and that he is in the most wonderful place he could ever be. I pray that my little Dane is taking little Luke under his angel wings and is showing him around in heaven. What a peaceful thought. All things occur for a reason, and we must stay strong and faithful. We serve an Awesome God and he has his reasons for everything even when we don't understand. I promise, if you just stay strong and never doubt him, he will lead you all to understand.
