We continue to pray for your strength and the healing of your little Luke. We understand how hard it is to fight for your child when you hands are tied and you can only wait upon the Lord. You both have an amazing resolve. As a fellow Christian I am proud of your faith. The Psalmist has said “When I called, you answered me; you made me bold and stouthearted.” May God continue to be with you as your persevere.
Under His grace and in His service.
Mike MoonAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-754887577238463230.post-20969547449071976612010-07-06T08:04:19.616-04:002010-07-06T08:04:19.616-04:00Benson and Kristin,
I was told about your story by...Benson and Kristin,
I was told about your story by my friend, Laura Highbaugh. Laura is married to Michael Highbaugh - your friend, Sarah's cousin. This morning I have read much of your blog, and God has truly blessed my heart through your story. Luke is just beautiful, by the way!

On September 11, 2007, my baby girl, London, was born with HLHS. Unfortunately, London did not survive the Norwood. There were unforseen complications during surgery. I do not say that to discourage you because there are so many children doing wonderfully with HLHS, and I anticipate a wonderful future for Luke!!

As I read your posts, I find myself being taken back to my own experiences...the anticipation, the hopes, the fears, etc. As hard as this is, I do know - just as you know - that God has a plan for Luke and he has HLHS for a reason. It's seems so unfair when it's your baby, but as a complete outsider, I can tell that God is already using you 3 to do wonderful things. Your faith in Him is evident, and He is working in the life of your precious son. Thank you for sharing your story. I will be praying for Luke as he continues to recover, and for you as you persevere during this challenging time.

You can find much of our story at our blog, www.fourplusanangel.blogspot.com or contact me any time at ashlee.tomes@hardin.kyschools.us.

Sincerely,
Ashlee Tomes

"For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord.
